TUSAL Jan 2013

So it's time for the first TUSAL post of 2013. I'm continuing filling up my jar from last year. I hope one day to be able to fill it completely and start a new one but that may take a while. I have also made some progress  on Eternal Promise with a page finish but I'll update with that next week.

TUSAL September

Right then first post for today is my TUSAL update. Think this was supposed to go up yesterday but not added anything else to the jar since then so makes no difference! Some how it looks like I have less again than last month, even though nothing has been emptied out! Obviously I don't waste enough floss! Hopefully I'll find the time to get my stitching update posed as well, sometime between dealing with the farrier and cooking dinner - and I thought only working 8 hours per a week meant I should have loads of spare time. So much for my last week of freedom before Uni starts again!

TUSAL August

My TUSAL photo for August. Back ground for this month is my fleecy leopard print dressing gown thing (I'm a Manic Street Preachers fan - owning something Leopard print is almost compulsory!).
Managed to drop the jar on the floor earlier this week, seems like I have less in there now than I did a month ago now!

TUSAL July

Just a quick update for my July TUSAL. My honey jar is starting to look a little more full, think it will be a couple of years before the thing is full to the top tough as this is about 6 months worth of ends now and I haven't even started squishing them down yet! July's background: the landing banister - overlooking the cottage garden.

June TUSAL

Just a quick update as I think it is about time for a TUSAL update. May have missed one or two over the last couple of months but don't think I've done enough stitching to make a difference to my jar.
This months background is my rather ugly carpet. Need to start finding decent places to take these pictures.

TUSAL March

Well I know I'm a day late with my TUSAL update but it's the same as it was last night - I swear! Have added a few new ends to my ORT jar, but it's still not impressively full yet. Still haven't done anything about not taking pictures in front of my DVDs though. Once again I forgot all about this until I saw other people updating theirs. I do have a excuse though, I did my first re-enactment display yesterday. We only did two short sessions which were a lot less intensive than our usual training but it was my first time in full kit. A wool tunic on a sunny day gets quite hot quite quickly!

TUSAL 2

So today is the 21st of Feb and the new moon which means I have 19 minutes at the time of writing to post my TUSAL February picture so here it is :
Ta-da TUSAL
At some point I will need to attempt to take some much more stylish TUSAL pictures without my collection of Dr Who DVDs in the background. Not much in the jar for a month of stitching either.

In other news HAED have a 35% off sale so couldn't resist getting a few new charts. Came away with Some Enchanted Evening by Laura Prindle, Posky on Oriental Rug by Ivory Cats ans Computer Wizard by Spangler.  Had a bit of a panicky moment when my Computer Wizard chart wouldn't save after downloading it so I emailed Michele at HAED and had the chart in my in box incredibly quickly. Really can't fault them on their customer service ever! Now just to find the time to stitch all of these HAEDs - not sure why I have to go for all the massive/complicated designs.

Looks like I forgot again!

So looks like I haven't published one of these in a while. During that time I managed to complete my Unicorn Valley QS and made some progress on the other HAEDs I was working on.

I'll post pictures of the other HAEDs as I work on them using my incredibly complicated rotation system I have in place. I have managed to start even more HAEDs as well as some non-HAED pieces. One of these new starts replaced Unicorn Valley and is my focus for the year. It's called Eternal Promise (a.k.a Arwen and Aragorn) by Matt Stewart and is now retired.

Enchanting Pegasus 1 day in

Yesterday I started two new things. The first is a new Dimensions Gold Kit called Enchanting Pegasus. The other new thing is signing up to the Totally Useless Stitch A Long (TUSAL). It basically involves taking a picture of your ORT jar every month. An ORT jar is the jar you out cut off ends of threads and other stitching bits in. More info can be found here.
