In the last week I made more progress on my Enchanting Pegasus than I expected. Ended up making a few mistakes and throwing a load of floss away. This is probably a very bad thing because lots of Dimensions Gold Kits seem to run out of one or several colours before completion  even if you don't mess things up. I wonder why that is? They charge enough for the kit you'd think they could at least ensure there is sufficient threads to finish the project.

In other news I went to see friends at the weekend the two hour delay meant that the trip up was not the best but worse travel chaos was to meet me on my return. Snow. Last night was too snowy for my mum to give me a lift back from the station, which came as something as a surprise considering in Carmarthen it was poring down with rain. Mum booked my into a hotel so at least I had somewhere to stay but not the best thing to arrive home to. The road to our house managed to clear by morning but it's trying hard to snow again now.

Looks like I forgot again!

So looks like I haven't published one of these in a while. During that time I managed to complete my Unicorn Valley QS and made some progress on the other HAEDs I was working on.

I'll post pictures of the other HAEDs as I work on them using my incredibly complicated rotation system I have in place. I have managed to start even more HAEDs as well as some non-HAED pieces. One of these new starts replaced Unicorn Valley and is my focus for the year. It's called Eternal Promise (a.k.a Arwen and Aragorn) by Matt Stewart and is now retired.

Enchanting Pegasus 1 day in

Yesterday I started two new things. The first is a new Dimensions Gold Kit called Enchanting Pegasus. The other new thing is signing up to the Totally Useless Stitch A Long (TUSAL). It basically involves taking a picture of your ORT jar every month. An ORT jar is the jar you out cut off ends of threads and other stitching bits in. More info can be found here.

HAED QS

Last year I started a Quick Stitch from Heaven and Earth Designs called Unicorn Valley. It's only tiny for a HAED 100x113 stitches. I think I've been working on it for about 6 weeks now and this is my progress.

Whoops!

Oh dear, it appears that I have forgotten about my blog for quite a while now! In that time I have been busy. Got a new job serving coffee in some little kiosk in town. Spent lots of time following Love Amongst Ruin. Went up to Manchester to had out flyers during their Feeder support slot last week and off down to Portsmouth to do the same again tomorrow.

During the long time since my last update I have started several new projects, re-started several older projects and created a whole new rotation to stitch them in.

I have also made quite a bit of progress on my other projects. I have completed Burning Beauty, horrid back stitch and all.

I have also made a lot of progress on Cancer Chesterton - I have completed pages 1 and 2 and made a good start on page 3.
Have also made some progress on Vlad and most of my other HAED projects. Will post more pictures of them as I work on them.

What Have I Been Doing?

I can't believe the last time I updated here was in April! I don't even seem to have done that much stitching in the past couple of months looking at the last few pictures I posted. It's a little bit depressing really ( I blame the True Blood books, spent far too long reading them)
This is my latest update on Vampire Cat Vlad. I've almost finished the second page now. The blues and purples have been fun to stitch as they are nice big blocks of colour. The greys and blacks have been slower as there is more confetti, although not nearly as much as on Chesterton.
Really looking forward to finishing page 2 as it will only be my second page finish on a HAED chart. It's also one of my stitching goals for this year so will give my a nice sense of accomplishment.

Chesterton Again

After a couple of weeks break I'm back stitching Chesterton again.
This is about 3300 stitches and around 60 different colours out of 90 in total. So far I'm about 1.5% of the way through the chart in about 3 weeks - that's 0.5% per week so I'd better start stitching faster if I ever want to see it done!
I'm still waiting for some more floss to arrive so I can start kitting up for the 3 new starts I have planned for this month. I have a funny feeling I won't be seeing that floss now and I'll have to go out and buy a load more from somewhere. Don't think I will risk getting cheap floss from Japan again as it's been over a month since I ordered.
